I don’t know who needs to hear this, but data is not racist, yet many people certainly seem to think it is. Since I became active on Twitter last year I have sensed a stigma around discussing the data surrounding specific uncomfortable topics such as racial crime disparities. Many threads that merely share statistics around such disparities regularly have commenters hurling ad-hominems at the original poster. A consequence of this has been allowing the dominant narratives of the
I've been meaning to comment on this phenomenon. With a single word, "Interesting", Elon Musk completely changed the conversation. No one else could have done that. Lesser mortals can write lengthy tracts, spilling endless character strings, without having this effect. This is what power looks like.
To the point, I believe you're correct. The censorship-industrial context requires a vast, expensive, intricate infrastructure to maintain the myriad impolite fictions on which Clown World depends. It requires the facts to be hidden, and it requires ordinary people to be terrified to discuss the facts. That fear is the single most important factor, the mortar that holds the edifice in place. And it is dissolving.
Thanks for writing this up. All I can say is, it's about fucking time that the data dam breaks wide open! Good Lord, we as a country have been psyopped all to hell by psychopathic elites trying to divide and conquer the working class.
Isn't it interesting that identity politics and all the accompanying racial hysteria really kicked into high gear right after the regular people started getting more vocal about the corruption revealed by the 2008 financial meltdown and the government's pro-bankster/anti-worker response? The Left had Occupy Wall St; the Right had the Tea Party; and the elites rolled out identity politics in response. And sadly, it worked like a charm. Now instead of realizing the parasitic elites are selling the country out from under us, we're fighting each other over obvious bullshit that shouldn't matter, except that a significant percentage of the population has been driven so insane by it, that they are pushing our civilization towards suicide with defunding police, electing Soros DAs to give violent criminals get-out-of-jail-free cards, etc.
Thanks again for writing this. Getting this information out there is critically important.
Minor point, but when your vertical axis isn’t zeroed out, the data representation is inherently biased, and reflects marginal rather than actual differences.
A suggestion for pointing out such inconvenient data without coming off as a racial determinist: point people to "Le Morte D'Arthur." The Knights of the Round Table were adulterous and stupidly violent -- and they pegged out the White Meter.
Whether actual knights were that bad is debatable, of course. But somebody back then thought the tales realistic enough to be passing good fiction.
Now the follow on: When people don't have strong marriages and jobs, many go in for recreational violence. Bringing home some jobs and making welfare hard to stay on is the way to cut the violence.

Great article, putting all of this together. Thx.

Unfortunately people got banned from twtr and facebook for stuff like this 🤦♀️ and some probably lost their jobs and they were called racist.
This is not only superb work, it's a remarkably efficient and deployable weapon in the war against suppression, cover up, and obfuscation. 👍🏽🙏🏽🎯
Damn, I'm glad I discovered you. Subscribed this morning and excited to read everything you generate. Keep it up.
