The hammer and sickle should evoke the same revulsion as the swastika does.

Quoting the black book? 😂😂😂😂😂😂

I think that I heard the author's flogs on Judeo-Christian political talk radio, browsed the wiki and cite that for argument. One Marxist nutter dismissed the black book as propaganda, and he might be right. How can we know how many people Marxists have murdered when they control the information?

That's the problem with knowing how many were liquified by tank treads in Tiananmen Square and fire-hosed down the drains, or how many unarmed protestors were shot in Iran. A lack of transparency invites alarmist speculation.

Thankfully, Eisenhower, among others, had the foresight to document the Holocaust, anticipating Holocaust deniers. Jordan Peterson cites Solzhenitsyn's description how Marxist true believers were awakened in the Gulags.

Magnitudes more. Let's not forget, the shit lary of the Nazi regime was the socialist aspect the good part was industrial might elaborated from the fascist state-industry collusion.

Collectivism, all the way down is cancer aids in a homogenous society it's irrelevant. But the more you get an ethnic and idealogical imbalance and bad actors in the mix the harder to gets to manage.

They do, just not for everyone.

The degrees in a practical science are least likely to be leftists.

Expected. Far left thinking is dysfunctional, it cannot work where logic and actual results are required.

cringyuser's avatar

And yet, 40% are far left. Seems like they do just fine.

Marvin's avatar

You'd have to compare how the 40% far left actually performs (compared to the non far left).

And so many think it is not amongst Health Care Providers and nursing staff. Scary

It would be interesting to know which universities were surveyed. No doubt this likely represents most Ivy League and any in CA but how about those like UF, UT, Nebraska etc?

Even without this data, I recognized the issued decades ago.

I've watched the climate change nonsense develop for over fifty years. No, I didn't say there's no climate change. I'm not talking about the science, I'm talking about the idiotologues who make it up as they go along. I'm talking about people who think that Greta Thunberg is anything more than a narcissistic shill.

I've watched colleges become indoctrination centers in which students are taught to NOT question.

Those who earn their living by manipulating reality, engineers and tradesmen, can't survive on the courage of their convictions. They survive on the accuracy of their calculations. The humanities can make up absolutely any myth they care to, and get away with it.

The relatively low levels of extreme views in schools of business and engineering reflect the difficulty of hiding practical outcomes behind moralizing. While the situation on the ground cannot be fully ignored within the institutions, tower inhabitants can more easily cling to luxury beliefs by invoking intellectual complexities- which build ever higher towers.

Ideas that work in practical settings are profitable, become mainstream, and are no longer 'luxury.

For instance, I would guess the percentage of extreme sentiments expressed in ‘actual’ design and construction is more like 10% (all political), because if it doesn’t work it doesn’t pass budget underwriting and does not make the plan. For example, left wing politics yields failing high speed rail projects.

First hand experience - privately employed civil engineers engaged in ‘real world’ projects may harbor some leftist luxury beliefs, but when added to plans and specs those ideas tend to age like milk. Nobody wants to be known as the guy who tripled costs- say by building with all recycled materials, just to curry favor with the same people who opposed the project in the first place. And then have the useful life of the structure cut in half by accelerated deterioration of building materials or mechanical components.

Boise State University is radical!

My daughter has been harassed because of a Trump bumper sticker.

She drives my spare car now with no bumper sticker…for safety reasons.

Meaningless, vague categories and also self-identified; doubtless a Zionist author seeking to add weight to authoritarian clampdowns on rightful pro-Palestinian protests. These people have officially been enacting a genocide since October 2023; it is only natural for anyone with an ounce of humanity to stand up to this mass murder.

OMG these extremists. Won't someone think of the children's safety?

Many more people died in the USSR. Estimates vary wildly but range from 20 million to 100 million (throughout the 70 years of its existence). Holodomor alone, the Ukrainian Terror Famine, deliberately starved at least 3 million people. The gulags started under Lenin in 1920 and continued until 1991 when the system collapsed.

I suspect that the figures would have been much lower for engineering and the physical sciences even 10 years ago. But years of DEI have had their effect.

Typical dumbasses who can't do the math and can't run a business. 😂 Even Jesus Christ spoke of the worthless servants in a parable. Talents I believe. It's a bloodsucking vampiric cult bent on bleeding us to death.

We need some operational definitions here.

These are the most damaging and dangerous of political theories being spread by Universities around the world today. Parents and their kids are paying to be indoctrinated, brainwashed, or radicalized.

In a test group adding a measurable factor like democracy, constitutional republic to allow measurement of other political positions would be a variable to observe in relationship to Marxist, socialist responders.

Still unnerving , if I was a gardener I would start vigorously weeding.
